Installation

Installing Universal Character Vault is very simple. Just follow the steps for your computer below.

Mac OS X

1. Download the zip archive.
2. Unpack the zip if your browser doesn't do so automatically. Inside you'll see a UCV.dmg Double click that to mount the disk image.
3. The image will automatically open. Drag the UCV folder onto the Applications folder link. This copies it into your Applications. When this is done, you can right click on the disk image and select 'Eject'.
4. If you are running UCV for the first time, you may need to go into the UCV folder, right-click and and then select Open. Since this program is not distributed by the Apple Store you need to tell your computer it's okay to open it. You should only have to do this once.

Windows 7 or Newer

1. Download the installer.
2. Double-click the installer. You can usually just accept the defaults and click next until it's finished.
